been selected by her peers as Lawyer of the Year for 2020 by
Best Lawyers for Toronto family law.
In 2021, Brenda was again selected by her peers as Lawyer of the Year in Toronto Family Law Mediation.
In addition she is again included in Best Lawyers
annual publication for her work. Brenda is also ranked as "Most

While Brenda has acted successfully on leading cases at both the trial and appellate levels, she prefers a constructive resolution to litigation and now focuses her efforts primarily on her mediation.
Brenda's experience as a mediator is founded upon over 30 years of experience as an advocate for her clients. She has comprehensive knowledge of the court process, having appeared before all levels of court in Ontario. She understands the limitations of the court process and the inherent pressures that such a process places on families.
Brenda brings the skills and insights learned in over three decades of experience to the table in her mediation practice.
She focuses on pragmatic solutions and is able to simplify complex issues, creating clarity and offering practical solutions.
Brenda retired as a partner of the firm as of December 31, 2019.
